Adam Lambert uses the same vocal microphone as me!
That’s so cool!
(I’m such a geek for noticing this)
Morrissey in the studio.
(Hopefully he gets back to it soon!)
This is so cool!
Is that Cubase I see in the background?
:)

I really love this guy!
Absolute genius!
OK everybody, I have some really great news!!!!
My shed is now 100% FINISHED!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m actually sat inside the shed right now, writing this on the PC in there!
Here is an image of what my shed/”studio” currently looks like.

I can’t believe it’s finally finished! It feels like we’ve been working in it for an eternity.
I know it may look very basic and it probably doesn’t even look like a recording studio, but this is everything needed to create some demos.
I’m sorry if you guys where expecting a big fancy home recording studio with a huge mixing desk and all kinds of crazy gear, but I just haven’t got the money to afford all that stuff unfortunately. Maybe someday, but not right now.
If you’ve read “My Music (Blog 6)” then you might be thinking to yourself “What happened to all the polystyrene?” Well the polystyrene is still there, it’s just behind the green sheets of card. My dad stuck all the thick pieces of polystyrene to the walls and then stuck thick green pieces of card over the top for extra sound-proofing. I know it’s not exactly the nicest colour in the world. Though you must remember that it’s not what the studio looks like that matters, it’s what sound comes out of the studio that counts!
Me and my dad tested the sound-proofing early on and it seems to have worked pretty well, it’s worked a lot better than I expected if I’m honest. What we both think is good about the sound-proofing is that if you stand outside right next to the shed, you can hear sound inside but it’s slightly muffled, but if you stand approximately 6 feet away from it, you can’t hear anything! This is good because it means that I shouldn’t recieve any complaints of family inside the house or neighbours about being too loud, hopefully that shouldn’t hear anything.
The only two things that I need to get for it now is a table to rest my AX-Synth on (As you can see in the picture, it’s currently on the floor) and a lock for the inside of the shed because at the moment I can lock the door when outside the shed but not inside. This is a slight problem as the wind will occasionally blow the door open and that will be an issue when I’m recording vocals because it’s like that the door blowing will be heard on the recording, which isn’t good. We’re hopefully going to go out and buy this stuff sometime in the following week. We’re also in talks of buying a little light (or something) that will be placed outside of the shed door which I can turn on when I’m recording vocals, and off when I’m not recording. That way people will know not to knock on my door or anything so I’m not disturbed whilst working.
This is where I will be finishing off the vocals for my E.P. and my free download songs. I shall also be working on any new songs in here. I hope to get recordings done very soon, though I couldn’t possibly predict a time when they shall be complete. I now have no excuse for not recording so I can’t wait to get to work on my songs!!!
Thank you so much for reading this blog, I really appreciate it. Please make sure that you read any of my previous “My Music” blogs if you haven’t already done so.
Thanks,
Josh :)
I promise that this one actually will be mini!
If you know me personally, then you may know that it was my 17th birthday yesterday. As gifts, I got some new music equipment. I also bought some new equipment today with my own money. Here’s two images of some of my new stuff.

I love the new equipment I’ve got! I also think that the all this new stuff makes my “studio” look far more professional than what it did before, excluding all the little toys around in the pictures lol. (See my earlier blog entries for older images of my “studio”) The new equipment I’ve got is…
I can’t wait to start creating new music and finishing off the music I’ve already written with this new equipment!
