My Music Blog 75…
Hi everybody!
I hope you’ve all had a great time during the holidays and I hope 2012 has been good to you so far!
Earlier today I posted some images of charts that I’ve made that show the progress of the musical projects I’m currently working on.

I’m currently working on three projects, which are two EPs and one full-length album.
If everything goes to plan, the two EPs should have been released by the end of this year!
I have set no deadline for the album, that will just be complete whenever I feel it’s ready.
- EP 1 is going to be a collection of songs that revolve around one concept, which is optimism.
Much like the stuff I’ve already released so far, there will be mixture of upbeat and slow songs.
If everything goes to plan, this should be released by June this year. - EP 2 is going to be a collection of songs that revolve around one concept, which is pessimism.
This record is going to have a much “darker” sound than the stuff featured on EP 1 and the free download songs. This record will also contain more experimental elements that haven’t appeared in any of my songs as of now.
If everything goes to plan, this should be released by November this year.
By the time both records have been released, I want them to seem connected in some way.
I released that I write a lot quicker when I’m working on music that has a concept.
Not only that, but I also believe that records which have a concept or reoccuring theme running throughout are a lot more enjoyable than other records.
The album that I’m working on also has a concept, but I’ll talk about that some other time.
Although, I will say that the album’s concept is not related to that of the two EPs.
If you have been following my blog for a while, you may remember that I did complete an EP sometime last year which I never released. I also released a thirty second snippet of a song from that EP called Falls Apart.
Well, I’ve decided that I’m not going to release that EP anytime soon.
It may be released someday, but as of now I have no plans to ever release it.
However, the snippet of Falls Apart had a good response so I may release that song sometime this year.
It doesn’t fit in with the concept of any of my current projects, so it won’t be included on those.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been working on songs from these projects.
In particular, a song called The Apple Tree which should be included on EP 2.
This song is a piece of music that mainly revolves around piano and various synth pad sounds. It’s mainly an instrumental piece, vocals are featured in the track but they are a background sound which can only be heard if you listen closely.
This track is still a work in progress, so I’ll let you know about any changes.
I’ve also developed an idea for what can become free download song that will complete my free album. This is still in the very early stages, and I don’t want to reveal the idea just yet as I’m not sure if I’ll go through with it.
