I sing, write songs and make music.
I post all kinds of things on here, though I mostly write blogs about the projects that I'm working on.
You can find links to me on other social networking sites below and links to my records above.
I tried to right this blog last week but, as soon as I went to click publish, Tumblr crashed and deleted everything I’d written.
Anyway, I’m still working on my new EP and some other music and it’s not done yet, but it’s coming along nicely.
(surprise, surprise) I wasn’t able to make the “end of September” deadline I’d set myself. I haven’t really got any particularly interesting details to share, other than I’m enjoying working on this new music and I’m excited to hear the outcome.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to do next and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s best if I take some time to assess where I want to go artistically before I start writing and recording any new music.
If you’ve listened to all the music I’ve released so far, you’ll (hopefully) notice that it’s all quite varied. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, I said from the start that (as an artist) I want to continuously re-invent myself), it’s just I’m now feeling concerned that I could potentially lose direction.
I’m mostly feeling that way because I’ve reached a point where I’m struggling to develop new ideas, and I think that’s happened because I’m now finding it hard to decide which ideas are good and which are not.
I think that, if I step back for a moment and set myself a clear direction to move in, then I could get back on my feet and improve as an artist, as a composer, and as a person.
So, after the music I’m currently working on is done, I’m not going to make anymore new music until I’m happy with the direction I’m heading in. There’s likely to be some changes to what I do, but I promise that those changes will be for the better.
Thank you so much for reading this. I’ll be sure to keep you all updated!
